
Alistair Clay
DirectorAlistair is the co-founder of Arc Seven Communications and leads on crisis and issues management, thought leadership, media relations and media training.
As a social care expert Alistair has handled countless major crises and guided his clients through the publication of CQC inspection reports, Panorama investigations, challenging issues surrounding hidden cameras in care, allegations of abuse, serious criminal cases and absconding residents – most famously the wonderful D-day veteran Bernard Jordan.
Alistair works alongside investors to develop communications strategies that build strong reputations for successful trusted businesses in the health care, social care and education sectors. He is also the founder of online PR training business Class:PR.
Before setting up Arc Seven former journalist Alistair was Media Relations Manager at International NGO Plan UK.
As a healthcare specialist Alistair has worked with some of the UK’s leading healthcare investors and social care providers through to dementia research charities.
His passion for health and social care has seen Alistair win major accounts for Arc Seven Communications in recent years and as a former national journalist (The Daily Mirror, The Independent and ITV) his contacts and understanding of the mechanics of the media are first class, delivering national media coverage time and time again.
Alistair joins the likes of Alastair Campbell and the Sun’s current Political Editor Tom Newton Dunn as a graduate of the Daily Mirror’s highly respected graduate training scheme.
Away from Arc Seven Alistair is Director of Media Relations for Shenpen International, a charity working to support Tibetan refugees living in exile in South India. He is also a member of the advisory board to the Hannah’s Heartbeat Campaign.
