As a health and social care specialist she has an excellent understanding of the reputational issues the sector faces and her behaviour changing strategies focus on engaging key stakeholders and communicating the difference providers make to the daily lives of the individuals they support.
Gemma is passionate about engaging staff in a company’s communication strategy and helping them understand the importance of their role in demonstrating and evidencing positive outcomes.
Gemma leads the training team at Arc Seven and regularly conducts courses on staff engagement, building culture through behaviour and its impact on positive PR and reputation.
Gemma has delivered high-profile projects for the agency’s key clients including; Launching a brand new luxury boutique care group, Gracewell Healthcare, creating a community of interest around the brand and ensuring that the staff had a 360 degree understanding of the vision, personality and values of the company; Training staff and establishing a company culture of communication through evidencing positive outcomes at adult social care provider Swanton Care & Community; Empowering health and wellbeing change in London’s most deprived housing estates for the Lottery-funded Well London Initiative backed by the GLA; A series of thought leadership debates for Alzheimer’s research charity BRACE on the future of dementia research and care, chaired by Jonathan Dimbleby and Sir Martyn Lewis.
Never one to sit on her laurels Gemma has recently completed her PhD in Anthropology which looks at how cultural values are embodied through ritual practice at a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in South India. She is also the co-founder of the online PR training firm Class:PR.
